Vinland Saga Season 2 Episode 24 Reaction

Vinland Saga Season 2 Episode 24 Reaction

New Season of Demon Slayer just dropped, you might like that than this tbh ngl

🫡Peakland Saga

It's kind of weird thinking about how back in the day you could just go somewhere else and then... lie about stuff. Pick up a new identity or whatever.

Ylva got the thorkell genes from her mother's side XD

I've already read at least the next 2 arcs. I really liked reading the Ketil's farm arc, but after that I felt the series was losing the things that made it stand out to me.

The next arc is going to be quite different, with a lot more action, so maybe you'll enjoy it more. Personally, I absolutely loved Season 2. It was one of the best story arcs I've ever seen (definitely my favorite one in Vinland). However, I understand that it can be divisive, particularly due to the change in pacing compared to Season 1.

Yeah, it was a bold move to not only slow the story down and get more introspective, but also to remove Askeladd and sideline Thorkell, but it was smart curveball and story decision. Yukimura showed at the end of the first arc that his plans were bigger than anyone might've expected during season one. There's still lots of the story I haven't read, so I've got another chance to go in blind.

It was a real pleasure to share this season with you too Teddy! 😊🤗 Don't worry, honestly this is just the beginning of Thorfinn journey. It's suggested here with the ending of the episode where everyone begins their own story. Helga &Thors fleeing from war, the young sailor Leif in search of adventure, Askeladd paying respects at his mother's grave and embarking on the search for Artorius, and finally Thorfinn, surrounded by all these people who played a significant role in his life, getting ready to start his own story: establishing a peaceful nation in Vinland. Season 2 allowed Thorfinn to rediscover himself and find his purpose. Now, he's at the starting line, ready to take off

That's fair enough, as I'm watching it now with my mum she feels the same way as you so I totally get that it isn't everyone's cup of tea. I'm looking forward to seeing where they take it from here

While there were a lot of things I liked about this season, and I think it had some of the best moments in the series, overall I feel disappointed. I read ahead like 100 chapters just before the season 2 trailer dropped and I enjoyed reading it more than I did watching it. One big reason was the pacing. There was a lot of negative space that made things feel slower than they should've. It's probably because the first season took up four books while the second only took up three, but they stretched it out to the same number of episodes. Another thing that made it harder for me to enjoy this season was the wider discourse around it, which I think was largely very unproductive. There were people who thought it was boring and people who loved it, but there were also a lot of manga fans who think this series is the best thing ever written and would call anyone who didn't like this season idiots who need constant mindless violence to be stimulated. It was just really annoying to see all this blind fanaticism. This was a very delicate part of the story that needed to be handled just right to get people to connect with it, so I don't blame anyone who didn't. I liked this arc almost as much as the season one arc, but my interest waned as I read further. I'm glad you enjoyed it though and I'm glad it's gained a bigger following. Our tastes are quite different, so I'm certain you'll enjoy what's to come too. I'm hoping I might enjoy the next couple story arcs more in the anime.

Ylva supremacy.

matthew bremmer

I believe it.

legend has it if Ylva went with Thors, Canute wouldve never been King cuz Askeladd wouldve been washed. and yeah Leif is the MVP of the show.
