Aomine showed Imayoshi the zone once. The difference between them is, as explained this episode, that Aomine can pretty much enter the zone when he wants (13:57), while Kagami did it unintentionally

I played bball for 11 years and there were matches where the whole thing about not listening on the bench and not communicating at all, just moving on pure instinct and muscle memory, happens. Everything flows naturally and your body memorizes every feeling from any move you pull. My parents came to watch me and told me about moments in the game I completely blanked out on if they didn't remind me of them

I train in boxing (no fights yet, I'm extremely amateur), but there would be sessions where my coach and I exchange no words and he's like "damn, you were completely in the zone for this session". It's real. Kobe was in the zone in his last game when dropped over 70 points.
