the scene where aomine says that there's nothing for a winner to say to a loser is one of my favorites in the entire show, tbh. i don't see it as mean/0 sportsmanship, but rather.. there quite genuinely isn't anything for the winner to say, as in - if you just lost a game, giving it your all to a point where you can't even stand up on your own, is there anything your opponent can say to you that'll make you feel better? if anything, to someone like kise, it might even seem like pity. that's my take anyway also: you can tell he still cares about his old teammates as evidenced by the fact that he literally smashed his own teammate into a locker when he talked shit about kuroko a few episodes ago LOL

kise strikes me as a guy who's into good sportsmanship like he'll play against you but will help you if you need help or will shake your hand. A true gentleman. aomine is like nah fuck you and your mum 💀 for no good reason

Sportsmanship...? This is not Haikyuu... LOL! All jokes aside, basket ball used to be hard mentally and physically but players are closer friends now a days. Street ballers are even worse. There is a good chance a fight will start. Believe it or not, you want to see Aomine for real. The game gets good... Plus, I love your reactions when you get excited.

Honestly, I don't think many people would tell you "ofc Aomine would win" even back then when it was publishing, we were not really expecting any particular outcome, just like Kuroko said, it wouldn't surprise anyone if either of them won! It was pretty close. Aomine can be pretty irritating to some (most?) people and it's understandable x) I think the thing that takes it to the next level of being irritated by the attitude is that, as you said, most of the things he says are right in essence. It's not out of malice or ill-intent, it's just stating facts with the ego that comes with it haha. Very much looking forward to the awesome season 2!
