It all depends on what your definition of "work" is. If work means extracting usable information about the alien technology, then... probably not. But if work means smooching cute alien girls and putting them in cosplay outfits...then we can say work is a(n) (a)rousing success!

I think they are getting work done. Behavioral patterns, mating rituals, nonverbal comunication. I'm sure she'd be more willing to get an x-ray or give a blood sample if she get's kisses for a reward.
