They get basic combat and gear maintenance training before getting assigned a Saint. There's also vast teachings of every Relic and some hands-on experience of Relic maintenance. Acolytes skill affinities are found rather quickly and they get divided into work-groups. Average age of assignment is 14. Though there's been cases of some being even younger. Usually when there's been a lot of losses and replacement acolytes are running thin. Few acolytes survive beyond three years of active service. Those who do can opt to return to home base to become teachers.
