I remember this as a very very challenging session. Not because of her, absolutely not... but because light conditions were awful all day long. The apartment we had for the editorial was fantastic to stay... big windows downtown Chicago, but made the whole room be backlit, tricking the camera into making everything soooo dark i shot nearly blind all the time. even if it looks spatious it was soooo small, i had to shoot most of the time climbing furniture, from inside of another room or holding the camera away from my face because i literally had to place no position myself.
when we managed to go outside we shot at the parking lot of a logistics center.. good location, bad idea, hahhaa. easily 100 trucks and 100 truck drivers around not allowing more than 15-20 seconds of peace and quiet before groups of people started noticing and wanted to join the experience.
the window set was shot in a hotel, with her inside of the room and me on the corridor outside... literally 2 min before they saw us from the security cameras and we had to hide not to be kicked out.
she is wonderful, her face is sooo special... but sometimes to get things done is really not easy. here a little tribute with the work we did i those 3h together.
