And I'm very glad that you were able to post it before Christmas day ๐ธ๐ I already mentioned in the WIP post just how much I love the pose! Your Catwoman is so sexy, sensual, dynamic and the pose just perfectly captures that feline feeling ๐ธ And now with the finished painting, I am in love with the colours! The WIP had this warm yellow-brown colour for the background but now you gave the scene this darker atmosphere with a lovely, rich-purple colour that I just adore ๐๐๐ I think it goes really nicely with the green tree and I like that there's a shadow being cast onto the wall, to let the tree further pop from the dark purple. The tree itself just has so much detail to it and I really like the sparkling, bright lights scattered throughout the leaves. The Christmas baubles look lovely too, with lots of different colours and lovely vibrant shines to them as well ๐๐ The rendering on Catwoman herself is just beautiful! ๐ค๐ค๐ค๐ค๐ค I love what you did with the colours, her black suit looks so vibrant with a mix of warm lighting bathing her from one side, along with bright-blue edge-lighting along the other. The textures of her suit are a lovely mix of smooth blending and striking, painterly shine spots. Looking at her cowl, I really like how the material on her head has this bright spot at the centre, smoothly blending into the darker tones surrounding it, while also having bright-white edge-lighting, further accentuating it's shape. I also love her goggles, the metal and glass textures have a lovely shine to them and those painterly textures and brush-strokes stand out well against the smoothness of the cowl. I also really like the creases and folds on the neck too and that smeared, shiny texture that you use ๐ค The rest of her body just looks amazing and it's hard to know where to begin! I really like the shine spot on her shoulder, as well as the warm light running down her arm, with just this thin, reflective shiny line running through it. I also like the greenish lighting along her forearm, tinted green by the tree. Her breasts look beautiful too, once again, they're accentuated so nicely by that shine spot on the left breast. The textures are so smooth and the way the warm lighting is framed by such dark shadows, does a terrific job of defining her ample, voluptuous breasts ๐ป๐ป๐ป I really like her whole back too, the upper back is great with that central crease for the spine, accentuated very nicely by the two blue edge-lights. Her butt is utterly perfect too ๐ Once again, the shine spots on each cheek look great, as do the perfectly smooth textures and blending between the light and dark tones. The dark shadows and bright blue-edge lights wrap around the shapes of her bum so well and really accentuate their roundness and how they overlap. I also like that her right butt-cheek has more blue lighting on the cheek itself. And I also like how her "special place" is left entirely in very dark shadow, acting as a teaser and letting the brighter parts of her butt pop even more ๐ค Her thighs are gorgeous too, they both have such smooth and wonderful textures and I really like the lighting contrast between them. The warm yellow light along her left leg and the cool-blue light on her leg contrast each other so well and make her hips and thighs look so vibrant. The overall lighting of the legs looks great with her left leg being warmer and brighter, with the right kept more in shadows, with even darker core shadows along the outer planes. And another detail I like is how her left leg, receives some bounce-light where it touches her right leg, making its shadows brighten up a little. And lastly for the suit, the boots really pop too with their bright blue edge-lighting and the painterly shine that runs through them. I really like that the boots are more painterly, with visible brush strokes and rougher textures, making them distinct from the smoother textures of her body-suit. The hands have a similar effect too, with the creases at her wrists and the shine spots on her fingers. Looking last at her bare head, I really like the colour of her hair. Just like with the suit, it's black but lit up with warmer tones overall and having some gorgeous blue lighting for contrast. The hair has a tonne of detail and such lovely textures. I especially like those blue-lit strands and the way the tips are softer. The subtle shine spots running through the main hair also look lovely, as does the overall gradient in tone, with the hair being brighter at the top and darker at the bottom. You did a marvellous job on her face/head too. This is such a tricky angle to paint and you did it beautifully ๐ป๐ป๐ป I like the shadow under her jaw that separates her head from her neck. All of the detail within her ear looks great and I like how it gets redder at the edges. Her face itself looks so smooth and lovely, but with some dark shadows and hard edges to separate the side of the nose from her cheek. The red tint and shine spot on her nose are adorable and I really like the red on her cheek too, as well as the smooth textures of her grey iris and the little shine spot there. Absolutely amazing work on this piece, Didi! Now that I've had a proper look at it... I think this might be one of my favourite paintings of the whole year! ๐ป๐ป๐ป๐ป๐ป The scene has such a lovely atmosphere, the colours and lighting are gorgeous, especially on Catwoman herself. And you did such a terrific job of painting her in such a difficult pose that ended up being so sexy, fluid and dynamic!
