Oh I've been very, very interested in how this painting was going to turn out. The WIP was very cool and now that I'm seeing the final version, with its full colours, it looks even better than I expected! 😸😻 I absolutely love how the background is kept very dark, only letting us see the subtle definition and textures of the tunnel as it ripples into the background. That deep darkness also lets Alice's much brighter and warmer tones really pop and makes her look so incredibly vibrant ☀️ The flowing golden hair and warmly lit face and chest look so striking and are an excellent contrast to the bright blue and white dress too and I also love the cooler, darker tones for her arms and legs which just make the dress and her face+chest stand out even more. I also like how the objects falling through the background are blurred adding to the sense of motion as we fall through the scene. The rendering, textures and lighting on Alice are all just fantastic! 😻😻😻😻😻 I love what you've done with her hair, keeping it a lovely warm, golden colour on the raised surfaces around her face, then letting it smoothly transition to darker tones as it spreads out into the background. The larger shapes of the hair are so well defined as they flow, curl, twist and overlap, all while having really intricate detail with so many little strands being fully rendered. I especially like the shadows that her head and her fringe cast onto the hair behind them, making them stand out really well 😸 Oh and before I forget, I do love the pose of the hair and her breasts, they each have this feeling of movement to them. With her hair spreading out while her breasts rise and lift as her body falls backwards. Her clothes look beautiful! The subtly shiny texture of the blue dress is lovely, like on her breasts where there's these nice shiny spots running across them. I love the definition of the many folds and crinkles in the skirt as it spreads and billows around her. The contrast in light and dark tones is very striking and the deep shadows give the folds so much depth! I really like the crinkling folds in the very bottom of the skirt too and the shine spots there, while the actual white underskirt is lovely too. I also like how you added subtle blue tones into the white material, contrasting with the more warmly lit parts of it and making it vibrant. The big black belt/ribbon looks lovely too, I particularly like the ribbon with that smooth blend from light to dark tones and lovely bright edge-highlights. The same goes for the ribbon in her hair, they both have lovely textures and great definitions! 😸 Alice's legs are gorgeous too! I really like the definition of her lower thigh, with a more subtle warm tone along the top that so smoothly blends into the dark shadows on either side. With her raised thigh, that warm light that wraps around the outside of her stockings is great too, showing how it squeezes her skin. The colour you chose for the stockings is great too, this warm tone with these gorgeous blue edge-lights looks so nice. I also love the texture for the stockings, with the material having this subtle painterly texture. Moving back up, Alice's upper body looks really fantastic with such strongly bright tones on her chest that become smoothly darker towards her arms and hands. The textures of the skin are so smooth and I adore the definition of her shoulders and arms with really nice plane changes. And lastly, her face is incredibly vibrant! I really like that stark brightness which contrasts so well with the shadows under her eyes and along one side of her face. Her blue eyes are so distinct too and I really like the shine to her nose and lips. Absolutely marvellous work on this piece, Didi! Like I said, it ended up blowing me away with the great use of atmospheric lighting with her face and hair being so captivating!
