Screenshots: Charles Darwin Vs Karl Marx

Hello lovely Patrons!

I am hard at work on my next video, and it's almost ready! There weren't many behind the scenes photos because, as you'll see, there were hardly any scenes to be behind, so here are some screenshots from the editing phase!

For this episode I grabbed my GoPro and set off into the wilderness alone! About half of it is shot on the go, in nature, with no makeup or lights or anything! I thought it'd be a nice, relaxing setting for a lesson on Charles Darwin!

We'll be learning about Darwin's ideas and which philosophers inspired him, as well as the impact that both he and Karl had on Victorian Britain!

The gopro captures slightly lower-res footage than I normally work with, and it gives this really authentic, wild feel - I love it!

I'm quite proud of my presenting in this video - being out in the wild with very limited camera memory and battery meant I couldn't do lots of retakes. I had to know the lines perfectly and nail the presentation first time - and I did!

But it's not all sunshine and ducklings! Once again I converted my living room into a set (my usual studio is still closed because of COVID) and filmed in there, with this striking look!

Here's a clearer shot of the makeup and costume. On one side I did a naturalistic face with just a bit of contouring to accentuate the cheekbone...

And on the other I used facepaint, liquid eyeliner, a white contact lens and eyeshadow to create a half skull look!

On camera under moody green lights it just looks gorgeous. I was really pleased with how it came out!

AND I also filmed a segment in my kitchen involving me cooking breakfast! This was another time when everything - lines, delivery, movements - had to be perfect first time because I only had one lot of food to cook, and again the segment really came together!

AND THAT'S STILL NOT ALL. Guess who's back??!

Oh yes, The Arsonist has returned, now clean-shaven and with what I think is his most sinister monologue yet. Get ready for some backstory...

This one is really coming together well: it feels really polished, well-balanced, and uniquely my style. I can't wait to share it with you! $15+ Patrons will get to see it early I hope - I'm up against a bit of a deadline! It should hopefully be out within a week.

the image with the stove is slightly more unnerving to german-speaking people (or at least to me) than to everyone else

The transition from "TRANSGENDER FIREFIGHTER" to that pencil mustache nearly made me do a spit-take
