Hey everyone, hope you are all doing well! Just thought I'd post some WIPs again, since it's been a minute.
For some of these I decided to try a grey-scale to colour approach, since I haven't done a lot of those. They're pretty fun to do. The big focus is to work on your values first, so you try to look for places where you can put a lot of contrast. To get the colour I make a color layer mode on top of the grey painting. Then it's important to try and get some colour variation going otherwise it can end up looking kinda muddy :/
The Grim choke one is a classic case of me drawing an initial sketch, then coming back a few weeks later and wanting to redo it completely. I like the linework I did for this one, I think it's very clean. I just fumbled her shoulder proportions looking back now. But I'm pretty happy with the brighter colours
