As per usual, I start off with the rough drawing. Just a quick layout to check the composition. This one has a slight bit of perspective from above, and also it has very little negative space.
Then I do the final linework and base colours. I have to say, purely based on the linework, this is one of my favorite pieces I've done so far.
Here I just added the shadows using a multiply layer. There are some slight inconsistencies in the shadows, but it's mostly done on purpose to really define the shapes of their bodies. It doesn't have to be perfect
Here I added some different tones to their skin colour, creating highlights where the light source reflects most. After this I added highlights in their hair, to their bodies as well as reflective light.
