I think the whole point of showing us that Cassian is still dreaming about the last time he saw his sister, and the fact that he said he never sleeps well is to help us understand that Cassian is always living with that guilt of leaving her behind, always dreaming of that moment and never really knowing what happened to her. This is probably the reason he always goes back to save his friends, and even Vel tells Mon that he should stop saving people...but due to that trauma, Cassian continues to save people. It is probably why he goes back for Jyn on Jedha and on Eadu to save her and probably why he saves Chirruit, Baze and Bodhi from Jedha - Cass' trauma and survivor's guilt colors every choice he makes. As "the messenger" he is not only gathering the information and skills needed to fulfill his destiny - he is also gathering the people he will need to help him fulfill the destiny of stealing the death star plans.

They used K2 the perfect amount, every line and interaction was gold.
The factionalism amongst the rebels throughout this season is infuriating but also the most realistic part of the show imo. I wanted to punch my screen when they were questioning Cass and his actions to do what he could for Luthen and Kleya. Without Luthen they literally lose. Not just in the abstract but all of the people that Luthen facilitated for and enlisted in the cause led to them knowing about the Death Star. None of that happens without Luthen and Palpatine just wins.
I was happy that what is left of Luthen's little family got to survive. As much as they all credit him for his efforts for the cause, and deservedly so, even the choices he made that he knew would alienate, Cassian, Vel, Mon, etc turned them into exactly what the rebellion needed. He knew people like himself and Saw were necessary but as Luthen says in his speech from S1:
"... I burn my decency for someone else’s future. I burn my life to make a sunrise that I know I’ll never see. And the ego that started this fight will never have a mirror or an audience or the light of gratitude."
I still think Forest Whitaker's vocal performance for Saw is a bit weird but like Tom Hardy's Bane voice, I kinda love it. His previous scene with Willmon were a really smart justification. Saw's brain being fried from huffing Rhydo for years makes his paranoia and erratic behavior make way more sense. Seeing Saw grow from CW, to BB, to Rebels, and his cameo in Fallen Order and eventually Andor make an incredible arc.
I have watched E12 a few times now and seeing Bix with her baby makes me emotional every time. Not because a piece of Cassian lives on; that is silly since a piece of hiim lives on in every part of the rebellion he helped make. It makes me happy-sad because seeing Bix on Mina-rau with their baby and B2, living at least somewhat free, shows the life Cassian deserved to have but fate deprived him of. It is a mercy that he doesn't know. I think Vel knew about the child and that was part of why she was encouraging him to reconnect. Mercifully he doesn't but for us who know his fate, it is immensely tragic.
Anyway, this the best show I have seen in a bit. The fact that it is Star Wars is just a cherry on top. I have been watching Star Wars in some form for literally my entire life (I am 50), Andor is unreservedly the best Star Wars I have experienced. Hot Take; Andor doesn't make Rogue One better it makes the bad parts worse and the best parts more poignant.
