If the haters had anything resembling objective critique about the show it would be almost fun to engage in a conversation about it but for the most part they just spout either misplaced bs about identity politics or they complain about continuity which just shows their lack of knowledge of what Star Wars has been over the years. We haven't even seen the conclusion of this series yet so I find their vitriol wholly misplaced and immature. Having been a fan for like 40+ years and living through the approx. 17 years before SpecEd/Prequels, when we just had comics, novels, and games that fleshed out the universe, and how canon and non-canon events where tossed out in favor what Lucas and the continuity team deemed relevant, the changes/new stuff we see in Acolyte and other Filoni era Star Wars fits right in...if you know Star Wars. They don't have to like them but they can't get heated about it when many of those same people are mad when older fans voice their disdain for the Prequel era content which is now so often put on a pedestal. I think this show has pacing issues but overall it has been dope. I really dug this ep because of the scenes whith Qimir and Osha, I dig that he isn't a one dimensional rager and has the bits of nuance to his performance that show the other aspect of the dark side. It isn't dramatic as the Palp and Luke scenes in ROTJ but I like that Qimir is undermining Osha's already shaky beliefs in the Jedi. Then to have the counterpoint with seeing Sol so obviously compromised along with Vernestra also seemingly engaged in a massive cover up, it adds a layer of tension that makes me excited for every new episode. It also feels like they learned from Andor in that they are using more location work and not leaning as hard on "the volume". Though that tech and the implementation has advanced so much since S1 Mando that it is hard to tell sometimes where they are comping in environments or on a location.
