Demon Slayer | 4x1 To Defeat Muzan Kibutsuji - FULL REACTION!

Comments

i've found a lot of ppl saying that it will be 8 chapters long, and i don't know why? 'cause i haven't found proof of any of that, like a lot of websites contradict each other and for ex imdb still says it will be 11 episodes, so i don't know where they got that info. the only thing we know is that this is the shortest arc in the manga, nothing more. they easily could adapt part of the final arc on this season and leave with a cliffhanger, even with anime only filler, because with this first episode only they've already adapted like 3 episodes from this arc.

From what I've heard, this arc should be around 8 episodes, as the chapter it's adapting from is fairly short. The next arc will be the last, and will either be split into two parts or be one long season, around the same length as Season 1!

yes, it's pretty symbolic and "generic", it's basically just a training montage, so imho it's safe too (and i've read the manga).

2:48 little historical trivia: here Obanai (Serpent Hashira) mentions the "Restoration" (goisshin), he's referring to the Meiji Restoration, immediately after the Edo Period, when Japan ended the Tokugawa shogunate and the isolationism of the sakoku (you saw and heard some of this in Blue Eye Samurai, set in Edo Period Japan). he's alluding to the Haijō Edict (or Haijōrei), where castles were either demolished or changed from being controled by feudal lords to being controled by the centralised govt. this particular castle seemed to "survive" that policy and was occupied by demons, that's why Sanemi says something like "i can't stand these demons living it up like lords". this is also the time period where swords were banned, as Zenitsu explained near the Mugen Train at the end of s1. there were a lot of policies like these at the time, because Japan was trying to enter a new era of modernization and leave the memory of the shogunate (basically a military dictatorship with feudal samurai lords in power) behind. 4:33 nah it's ok, a lot of ppl thought it was Akaza. it would've been cool and besides Akaza's design is pretty "simple" so it could easily be confused with other demons' designs, like the one that attacked Tokitō Muichirō and his brother in a flashback last season, almost everyone thought it was him that time too. 8:23 Sonny: i feel that something bad is gonna happen... xd  that was probably the best reaction to that scene that i've seen. i was reacting almost the same way in the cinema and i had already read the manga! xd also, probably multiple ppl will tell you, but that whole opening scene with Wind and Serpent Hashira on that castle is anime original, it doesn't happen in the manga. and it's a damn cool addition. 20:33 Mitsuri is so damn funny, i want to be her friend xddd and yeah, Crunchyroll translation doesn't really convey the exact meaning because it was translated literally. it literally said "炭治郎 タイプ (Tanjirō type)", but that's not quite the same "type" in english that means "the type of person Tanjirō would find attractive", no, it's "a Tanjirō type of person", like "a person with the same type of character as Tanjirō". "タイプ (taipu)" in japanese can mean "one's ideal type" but also "type of person", which is the meaning in this context, because Mitsuri explained it exactly the same way. it's more like when you say two ppl share the same brain cell. like, Mitsuri and Tanjirō are just genderbends of the same character and i love it xdddd they're such pure souls 22:54 that part is so funny jjsjssj it's like: Sanemi, HOW it would be "simple" to have more than 200 bpms and raise your body temperature until you have a fever almost incompatible with life and keep on fighting like nothing is happening? xdd i know you're cool and i love you, but shut up man 46:23 Kagaya and Lady Amane have 5 kids. and yes, they're married. 47:38 nooo! i'm so sorry you got spoiled, Kat. why do ppl feel the need to do this? and then they cry about "fake reactions" smh like HOW do you think they will keep reactions genuine? WITHOUT SPOILERS! it's pretty simple. 57:34 Kat: those are some features xdddd yess, Gotōge-sensei (the author) draws beautiful (and sometimes creepy) eyes and has fantastic character designs that are pretty unique and instantly recognizable. Gotōge-sensei is awesome. 1:00:33 yeah, Kat's right. it's definitely Fahrenheit, if it was Celsius it would be more than inhuman, i'm pretty sure is not possible. also, it's pretty cool that Kat knows how to convert Fahrenheit to Celsius! i've used Celsius so long and i've barely ever needed to use Fahrenheit in all my life so i really don't know and don't care how to convert xd 1:02:19 yes, it's the same character all members of the Demon Slayer Corps have in their black jacket's back: 滅 (destroy), it's pronounced "metsu", which is the same character that gives part of the name to the series (ki-metsu no yaiba (Demon Slayer)). and yeah, the Wind Hashira is the only one with a white jacket and the character of 殺 (kill) in it. sorry for the long comment, but i LOVED this reaction! i was waiting for this, thank you so much!!!

Felipe Aravena

You guys are totally safe to watch the intro btw. It actually has a lot of symbolism and is spoiler free. I recommend just watching it. The end credits will change next episode and I don't know if that will contain spoilers
