Nice! It is fun to watch Kat's revulsion in the first bout of ultraviolence at Ringo's Noodle shop and then a more even response the Mizu vs. 4 Fangs. I have become desensitized to over the top animated bloodshed so i is nice to be reminded how messed up it is. It is fitting for the samurai genre but it goes so hard it surprised me at first. I am not gonna go running around naked anytime soon but it's nice to see naked not automatically be about sex. That being said, Ringo may not have been gifted with hands but, like the Millennium Falcon,...he's got it where it counts. Big kind, cuddly, loyal, dude who can cook and is well endowed, if I was Mizu I would just marry him and move to someplace away from the assholes. Forget all that revenge business. As awkward as the Akemi/Taigen sex scene was it did tell us some stuff about the characters. For all of Taigen's bluster he is still quite immature. I do think Akemi actually likes Taigen but I also feel like she wants to marry him just so she can avoid being married off to someone way worse. Her father tried to play her off as a virgin but I think he is well aware that she is not. Seki (Takei's character) definitely knows. He reminds me a lot of Arya and Sansa's Septa from GoT in that Seki is aware of the unfairness of Akemi's treatment but is doing his best to prepare her. It is also nice to hear George Takei do a subtly different voice that the very booming theatrical voice he typically uses in his VA. The voice cast overall is kinda star studded and they all do great work. Excited for the next one. I had up through episode 7 and then reactions started rolling out so I decided to just wait to finish it. I am currently watching 1 other channel go through this series and another might start soon. I am glad folks are getting their eyes on it.
