2023-07-31 01:37:02 +0000 UTCThis might be my favorite episode of the season honestly because it introduces us to the hashira, demonstrating one of the strongest qualities about demon slayer: the character design. Each one of the hashira are so distinct in their appearance. While their personalities can be a bit basic, the voice actors also do an incredible job distinguishing them, which you will see. Can’t wait for you guys to see the next arc!! Hope you guys do the movie format.

2023-07-21 23:48:29 +0000 UTCWhile I certainly agree with all of your comment, a lot of demon slayer fans whom have read the manga can't fathom why people wouldn't like Sanemi at this point in the anime but the reality is there is nothing here given that makes Sanemi likable. Tbh even after reading the manga myself now, while I can sympathize with Sanemi more I still don't like his character all that much. Also warning to Kat and Sonny, A lot of fans like to spoil some small stuff about Sanemi at this point so just be wary of Youtube comments. Y'all know how they can be sometimes. Loved the discussion as always guys. You are always willing to try to understand characters perspectives!

2023-07-21 21:04:56 +0000 UTCso 2 things: Sanemi stabbing Nezuko is smth everyone kinda looks at as him being a dick (which is kinda true), but he mostly stabs her so that she's wounded, which in turn makes her hungry. he was trying to get her angry on purpose too. if she restrains herself while being angry AND hungry, with blood flaunted in her face, then that's definite proof of her will. and 2. another thing i'd point out is that Hashira have to fight and watch so many comrades die to just make it to their rank. and once they're there, they have to fight the worst, most despicable, evil demons ever. and that's not even mentioning what kinda stuff that happens before they became a slayer. their hatred and lack of will to understand is completely reasonable honestly. that's why the Master wasn't really surprised, and pretty open minded with his approach. he could've just forced them to listen, but instead he says "i'd like you all to accept it." and "can you try to understand?" i mean, Sanemi specifically; just look at his scars! his design is a large hint to how much he probably hates them. not to mention the only Hashira that's seen it with their own eyes is Giyu. we as a viewer can't really judge people based off of stuff they haven't seen. if you remember, even Giyu was screaming at Tanjiro about how stupid it was to claim his sister wouldn't eat humans. but the difference isn't that he's more understanding, it's that he was lucky enough to SEE it. imagine fighting demons all your life because they killed your family, and every demon is just cruel, liars, and tricksters. then imagine becoming a slayer and watching even more powerful, gross demons kill all your friends you trained with. NOW imagine becoming a Hashira, and getting called to battlefields where 12 Kizuki have been, and finding piles and piles of bodies of your junior slayers. then imagine some boy comes up with his demon sister and says "don't kill her, she hasn't eaten anyone, she's my sister! she'd never eat anyone! she can be a demon slayer!" long comment, but just a perspective! anywho, love the reactions! can't wait for you to see the wild stuff!
