This was a great episode that I was looking forward to getting back to in my rewatch along with you. I mean, the show has plenty of them, obviously, but I remember how touching I found this episode when I first watched it. That Tanjiro manages to keep within him his kindness and ability to empathise, knowing that they weren't always demons.. but also maintaining the determination to know that they still need to be stopped (killed). Seeing him change his strike to a more merciful one at the last moment really was just perfectly Tanjiro.
