You guys need to get adjusted to cliffhangers, will be more =). You asked about the movie when to watch it, I recommend you watch after season 1 --> episode 1 of season 2 --> Mugen Train movie ---> the continue from episode 8 of season 2. Movie is better quality and you will have better enjoyment seeing that arc fully in movie version than through the episodes.
