yep. yep. I *absolutely* hate it lol. There's a post I saw on pinterest with the two side-by-sides of Sasha saving Samuel and then Connie killing Samuel. - Lol, but like okay- I felt bad for laughing after he shot Daz, and it wasn't because it was Daz, but it was because they had done Daz dirty SO MANY TIMES before now that I literally thought he was already dead. I'm watching this episode wondering what 'traitor' meant- and I JOKINGLY SAID TO A FRIEND, "Watch that rando Daz not be dead, betray Floch, and somehow ends up saving the whole world like he's cosplaying Yajirobe from DBZ. They did him dirty so many times in this whole series, it would be hilarious" Then they pulled up and Daz was ACTUALLY FUCKING THERE I looked over at my friend and just go, "they bout to do mans dirty one more time aren't they". Yeah. Yeah. They did lol. Christ that shit SUCKED. I feel so goddamn bad for Connie man. He's just been like... trapped in a revolving door of emotional decimation for like 6 years.

Wow, didn't catch that. Showing these two stories would have made their deaths that much more painful

And Daz was the guy Ymir saved during the snow episode in Season 2. I think it was episode 5.

I wish they would have showed this because it would have made the ending HIT EVEN HARDER, but Samuel was the one that Sasha saved when he fell off the wall after the Colossal appeared for the 2nd time and Eren tried to go after it, but it disappeared right when Eren was about to hit it's nape. :(

Really enjoyed the discussion on this one. Do you have any plays to provide content of you guys looking back at your earlier reactions/doing a rewatch or do you plan to do that privately? Even if you didn't make a video on it I'm curious as to your reactions :)

this may be my favorite episode in the entire series. It provides so much perspective in revealing the reality of war and the characters in this story. That under different circumstances or in another world, many of the people we learn to fear, demonize, and fight could just as easily be our friends or allies

The way this shows shifts is amazing: Season 1 - World Building and non stop Mystery Season 2 - Crazy Reveals Season 3 - Information and Answers Season 4 - Political and Emotional. Isayama truly is a master writers.

It was so difficult seeing connie having to kill 2 of his friends like that, and just crying in agony at the end.. Voice actor absolutely nailed it
