In his final battle, Bert told Armin that no one in the group, no one inside the Walls was a devil, and no one was guilty or at fault for anything. Bert told Armin that they were all precious comrades to him, but that they all still had to die. And before he transformed, Bert thinks to himself that there was nothing to be done, things were this way, no one was in the right, because the world was that cruel, and this was his fate, his choice.

Their parallel is like destiny, itself. They are fated, somehow, always coming together to clash whether through their titans or their dialogue in this amazing episode.

This is one of my favorite episodes of season 4, I am rewatching the season with you guys and I was so happy we finally got here! I think the tension and the music in this episode are top-notch. I remember the first time I watched my heart was racing so much. The conversation between Eren and Reiner is also such an excellent scene. Eren understands Reiner, they are the same, they slipped into the enemy territory, ate there, slept there, saw that they weren't all bad people, but they both keep moving forward with their plans anyway, to obtain their goals... I really love the parallels between these two characters. I think it is also a great detail that Eren waited until Willy declared war on him to make his grand entrance. Thank you for the great reaction and I look forward to the next one. Take care of yourselves!
