What at first seemed like another little side mission, turned out to be very much connected to the overall plot and Moff Gideons plans. Very intriguing! And sorry about the abrupt end, Kat was very tired and practically falling asleep. She didn't get a lot of sleep the night before and had a full workday before we sat down to watch the episode, so it had nothing to do with the series.

2020-11-27 19:12:55 +0000 UTCI think the episodic nature of the series is a homage to the old newspaper serials that inspired George Lucas and Stephen Spielberg in their creation of Star Wars and Indiana Jones. Some episodes build on the central plot and some are stand alone adventures. In regards to real world references, sci-fi like Star Wars has always been a way to examine contemporary social issues. Every great sci-fi movie is an examination of the social issues present in the society in which it was made.

2020-11-20 18:54:13 +0000 UTCIm thinking that those troops at the end with Gideon are Dark Troopers. Back in the first Dark Forces game the Dark Troopers used armor made out of a special metal. I am thinking that Gideon is using Beskar for the armor of the Dark Troopers and is trying to make them force sensitive.
