A small update

Hi loved ones!

Finally, some good news...
Our financial situation during these hard times have been secured for the next couple of months, meaning we can indulge in making content for you guys, while figuring out what to do with the channel and in our personal lives. And we have something special and possibly super random and very exclusive in the works for you! (First time Kat as an editor 😹)

We are considering finally getting into some podcasting, and the first series is probably going to be about Star Wars.
Should we choose to continue, or find out that it's really nice doing podcasts, we would like to hear from you, what kind of podcasts you would like to listen to?

We are also considering rearranging the tiers here on Patreon to the standard $1-5-10+, but we would also like to know, what kind of rewards you think would be fitting for those specific tiers?

Anyway, sun's out in Copenhagen, hope it shines on you too.
Big hugs,

Kat & Sonny

PS. if you're a little fed up with text-only posts, here's some typical pictures from Denmark in winter, summer and spring time. (The blossom is actually from outside our building yesterday πŸ₯°)

Agreed! I am always incredibly happy to pay my taxes, I know for the most part that the money is going to people who need it (schools/teachers, hospitals/doctors, students, certain public institutions such as universities). Kat

Yeah, taxes are high, but wages and cost of living offset that. As does free healthcare and a whole list of other things.

Seasonal affective disorder is still very much a thing there in Scandinavia!

I was in Copenhagen years ago and remember the sun rising at 4 am and setting around 9 pm in the summer. One of my favorite shows was Northern Exposure about a small town in Alaska and they came up with some creative ways to deal with the short days in Winter and the depression it causes. That was set in the early 90s before digital media took hold so Winter depression may not be as much of a problem now since everyone's plugged in.

I can definitely boil things down to be more interesting for the common listener, but I'd be scared of being too preachy about it (I have a very biased view upon psychedelics!). However, it could be very funny to talk about as well!

Denmark is cold, grey and gloomy all the time :/ But we do have a fairly great system here, as long as you're willing to pay 40-60% in taxes 😊

i spoke with a dear friend who's living in denmark now -- i wanted to ask her about her health and the situation with covid-19 (note: sing "covid-19" to the tune phrase "c'mon, eileen," and you will never, ever, ever get that out of your head; you're welcome, lol) and from her descriptions and explanations, i've determined that my family needs to move there. and your photos seal the deal.

Love the photos. Podcasts about how you are doing, and your perspective on your side of the world would be interesting :-) I also thought what Kat was studying interesting, and maybe worth talking about, but perhaps that is too nerdy for the general podcast community.

I'm glad you guys' situation is better! About the podcast, Specific themes like star wars are nice. I also particularly like "slice of life" podcasts like for example the "Rooster Teeth Podcast" where they just talk about shit, life, and banter etc. But obviously that's just me :-)

Take care of yourselves and stay safe.
