2020-02-09 06:52:25 +0000 UTCDatapoints. 1. Billions of years ago Saturn captured an extrasolar object containing protomolecule which laid dormant for billions of years. 2. Protomolecule co-opts life and uses it to "complete the work" and is freed by greedy men to experiment. It is seen as a potential first strike on humanity by the scientist Miller shot. They study it to discover why it was sent. 3. That work builds the ring using the humans on Ceres and that asteroid broadcasts voices and other strange audio signals from people who died there including as we learn Julia Mao who appears to have her consciousness preserved even though she died. 4. The ring opens into some kind of blue walled bubble with that nucleus at the center. I absolute love how, like game of thrones, the pieces of the puzzle are there, but how do they fit together. :: glad he patroned, could not bear waiting for youtube lol::

2020-02-07 19:07:11 +0000 UTCLoved Drummers speech. I just noticed that the pounding continued as the Behemoth went through the ring, great score. Funny BTS story that during Drummer's speech, Dom Tipper had to stand there very stoic and it was frustrating. After the directory yelled cut, She really got into it , "Yeah Beltalowda!". I felt really bad for Drummer when Naomi was leaving, they have such a chemistry. One thing that wasn't stressed enough in the show is how much of a celebrity Holden is. As far as Melba is concerned, even though Avasarala is specifically responsible for Mao's incarceration, Holden is the public face of that.

Not only was he a sociopath on full display (and he is one, but with the understanding of what he is and a logical desire not to be bad which is why he seeks out guiding moral people) by the threat. The fact that he went from that to genuine care that the guy could not see demonstrates he simply does not process emotional consequences at all. I will only say you will love how some of the characters evolve over the rest of the series!

The last 4 episodes are going to be bonkers, mainly because at the time the series creator wanted to tie things up, in case the show did not get picked up after the cancellation. Just wanted to point out that the Belter speech was a big moment. Viewers have the advantage of having a bird's eye view of things and we know that going through the ring is safe. It's entirely a different thing for the Belters, who have no idea what awaits them inside. Imagine if an Alien portal showed up in front of our own Earth, going through it would be a big deal. :D
