Ok Kat had me going. I was holding back tears. After this episode I am wandering if the writer is trying to make a deeper point other than what we are seeing. One of my questions when I studied philosophy was do I want to live in "heaven" "utopia" "eternity" or whatever we call the perfect world. Veidt looks like he is experiencing what question I have about utopia. If we did go there would it drive us crazy? Life is about struggle. Difference and some conflict gives us poor linear living beings purpose. Utopia or eternity by definition says no change to me. Living as beings we must have change. We must have some conflict or problem to solve. My first memory in life is trying to climb over a baby gate my mother put up. Is it that my brain saw the problem and trying to solve the issue of wanting to get to the other side what gave my mind its first spark of consciousness? Without that would I or in this case Veidt go crazy and obsess with a problem to get out? Great philosophical problem. Well that and the bootstrap issue. Google Doctor Who and the Bootstrap Paradox speech. Ok now to emotionally recover from Kat. I need a tissue :)
