If you compare Gollum falling into Mt Doom and the hybrid holding onto the core and being roasted, they're very similar and both are so obsessed that they're oblivious to their fiery deaths.

Another fun one is from The Normies, another reaction crew who was on the show early on and one that had a small hand in helping to get the show attention/renewal. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J2SYO6P7Z9M As far as S3 timelines go, SyFy announced the cancelation of the show after ep 3 and Amazon announced the pickup after ep 5. But cancelation rumblings were all over from the beginning of the season. One has to assume that the show runners knew there was a good chance that there wouldn't be more Expanse after S3, I just find that as an interesting way to view the season. The story starts going into a high G burn as you go. Episodes 5 and 6 as well as 12 and 13 should be watched as blocks. Episode spoilers exist in the opening credits of Ep7, so be warned.
