Sounds good I'll look up how a float serve is like in real life! So did the coach get mad at with Yamaguch that one time because he was supposed to jump even though float serves can also be done by not jumping?

So, notes: I think this was a great episode in showcasing the efforts of hard work. While we focused on Karasuno’s training and development earlier in the season, Oikawa’s training is on full display when we see his crazy serves. Crazy in the sense that even though he’s his team’s setter, his serves are so intense that it’s almost a guaranteed point if he gets his rhythm. What separates him from someone like Yamaguchi is that Oikawa just excels at serving, it’s not his primary role. That’s why he’s not a pinch server. As for the Suga floater, it’s totally possible to do a floater/float serve from a standing position. Players just tend to do jump floats because it adds more speed/power to the serve. If you have time, I’d say to look up a float serve IRL because they are pretty wild to see and thinking about the skill it takes to pull one off on a consistent basis, top-tier athletes are so wild.

2024-05-06 12:14:43 +0000 UTCforgot how good this ep is !! one thing you might be misremembering is that you can touch the ball twice, just not twice in a row. so if someone receives the ball, they can spike it too after someone touches it in between (my bad if i misunderstood and you know this already). btw pinch server just means someone who is subbed on only for their serve (then usually subbed off after the team concedes a point). and yah it is a thing in real life volleyball too!
