The % from the health is removed, as it causes confusion when beings with more than 100 health gets healed a certain % of their health and so on.
I'm also thinking of using some colors, like perhaps having a green background for 75-100 health, then having it change to yellow, orange, red and so on when it gets closer to 0.
What was previously known as MPL will be divided into Attack and Defence values.
The advantage of this system is that all beings (including normal stick figures) And weapons can get Attack/Defence values, which makes it much easier to compared them with magicians etc. It will also be more fun to allow for some variation among non-magicians, such as having their natural Att/Def range from 0-2 (although as high as 2 would be rare).
More magic attack variations etc can of course be added anytime.
As for the old power level system, I don't think I can continue using it, as it is So very flawed to begin with. Giving something an accurate PL just seems impossible. Some examples of this will follow:
When someone doubles their Att, shouldn't that alone double their PL? So when a magician advances to the next magic tier and double both Att and Def, And learn some new abilities, shouldn't that at least have quadrupled their PL? This means All PL values ever given are All wrong.
And as an advanced Myth Magician (Att/Def:8) has a PL of 7.5k, the thought of a base Overseer (Att/Def:10) with Magic Control having a PL of 10k is also very wrong, meaning that all Lolph's power levels And everything powerful he ever fought have PL's that are Way wrong. The many variations of possible magic variations to learn also makes it very difficult to give someone a correct PL.
Having power levels also means that most battles are already predetermined before they even start. This system leaves the outcome of battles more open, which should make it more exciting, as the viewers in most cases will be given the Att/Def/Health values, but not knowing which different magic attack variations etc the fighters know.
The Creator would be given a new formula for his Maximum Health/Att/Def based on the number of subscribers. As it is now, it's impossible to know how an increase of 1-2k in power would really affect his powers, and to know when to increase his MPL and not.
Do you guys have any thoughts, input, suggestions, feedback on this? I'm more than happy to make some changes here and there if it seems justified.
(And if you guys still want me to use PL as well, I need very clear suggestions/rules for How it should be calculated in all cases, as this is something I can't make up myself.)
And as always, none of this will be necessary to learn in order to enjoy the videos, it's just a little extra for those who are interested in how it works.👍
