Not really! Take a look at the Scenario Sheet, specifically the first point of the "Running a Scenario" section: the GM must take into account several factors when gauging effect and negative consequences. Which means you get a far better deal if you have proper information, skills, traits, gear or other assets. If BRB is played without taking these circumstantial factors into account, it falls apart quickly. It should be mentioned that, however, the game is totally built around the idea of normal people fighting difficult odds, and (by design) it's never a good idea to attempt a solo roll - unless you want to fail it to earn Fate, or have already decided to spend Fate to succeed.

Ok, I know this is a micro-game. Still, I'm baffled by the "total" absence of modifiers to the action (barred the Fate expenditure and the "you don't have that skill, than you can't attempt that action"). You still get a mixed success on 4-5 and a success on 6. No things like "roll more dice if you have an useful Trait" and/or "get a +1 if you have an useful Skill"? Just additional rolls from gang-up?

Andrea Parducci

Both! Any PC (main or supporting) can spend Fate to reroll. However, only the main PC can spend it to auto-succeed!

Hi Ema. In the Character Sheet, under Fate, you write "Once per action roll, a PC taking part in the action may spend one fate to reroll one or more dice. You must keep the new results." Is this a point specifically aimed to let an ally that is helping you to be able to spend Fate to "help you more"? Or, can you - as main character that initiated the action - do the same, so using a Fate point to reroll a single die?
