□Hospital, Asahi Shiori

The hostages were being held captive in a converted hospital in the "city".

The last and most important character, Shiori Asahi, encourages the terrified boy.

At her tender age, she cares for and encourages the other hostages.

We will find out later where this stoutheartedness comes from.

The scene was intended to introduce the character of Shiori Asahi and explain the situation on the hostage side.

□"City" at night

Blaze goes to the "city" at night to get the device to disarm the transmitter that seems to be attached to the hostage.

However, the mutants have gathered around the "disarming device" that Inanna has hidden,

Blaze is placed in a difficult situation during his covert action.

There she appeared, the woman he had met in the first episode.

The woman, without regard for her own peril, gives Inanna's name and drives the mutants away.

She then explains that Blaze is not the only one who wants to save anyone, but that everyone is risking their lives in their own battles.

Blaze, who had lost sight of his surroundings in his impatience, regained his composure with her words,

Once again, he ponders over Nashino's feelings.

This is the scene where the courage of those not even given names helps the heroes.

If you don't get the "disarming device" here, you will get a bad ending.

□Factory ruins, Nashino

When Blaze visits the ruins of the factory to discuss the matter again, he finds that Nashino is being held captive by the mutants.

In order to release Blaze, he turns the muzzle of the gun on himself, who has become a hostage.

The worst is averted, but the mutants' idea forces Blaze to have sex with Nashino.

Before Nashino turns the muzzle of the gun on himself, he shoots the mutant with all his bullets, leaving one last shot,

This is a kind of proof that he did not flee before the enemy and kept his will to fight until the end.

I thought there was some kind of rule like that in the military......

Perhaps it is some kind of fiction and there may be no such thing in reality.

After the forced sex, Blaze takes advantage of the moment and succeeds in knocking the mutants unconscious.

However, this is where Nashino takes an unexpected action.

In order to force Blaze to give up the confrontation with Cybele, he throws the "Separation Vaccine" into the rubble.

This is, as Nashino himself says, an act of abandonment of the hostages, a betrayal of the Self-Defense Forces, and an action that will disappoint his father.

And it was an act that would not be "seen" by Blaze, whom Nashino himself loves more than anyone else.

What Nashino did may be reprehensible, but the act of sacrificing love to protect those he loves is truly that of a hero.

Nashino was prepared for rejection and scorn from his loved one, but Blaze smiled at him.

Blaze understands that Nashino has a resolve that not even he, the hero, can possess.

He also remembers the young Yuki Sayohara, who sacrificed herself to protect the young Blaze, despite her fragile existence.

Blaze is taught courage by those he is supposed to protect.

Nashino's decisive action ironically cements Blaze's determination to be a true hero.
