Mortasheen sketches: feedback wanted!
Added 2014-12-17 01:30:30 +0000 UTCInspired by a Halloween decoration, I've had ideas since last year for a psychic monster whose head zippers open and kind of invokes an owl, without actually being a bird. I can't settle on a final look, so your input is appreciated!

I definitely like the design elements that made it to the refined sketch.
2015-01-18 15:35:13 +0000 UTCI personally like the one that looks like it has its eyes on opposite sides of the "bag" that makes up its head, plus skeletal wings. It's just funny to me how when the bag is "closed", the eyes would be staring into eachother!

A bit of feedback is maybe not to have the brain feature, it's a bit predictable for something with a zip head. Maybe it could store things it likes in there that would be fun. Used as a bag by citizens but it has to be convinced to like the things first. hehehe

The one with multiple eyes, the one with exposed brain and the in the bottom right corner with the exposed, er "something", invoke the owl motif pretty well. But it makes the most sense for it to have its eyes on the inner surface of its two zipper flaps so they can be everted, but the second design doesn't fit the owl motif so well. Still, I say go with originality and do the second design, i.e. the one you posted in a separate post.
