Polyps, warts and barnacles
Added 2014-11-06 09:43:01 +0000 UTCFor ages I've had ideas for various monsters consisting of barnacle or coral-like warts, tumors and polyps, which would grow like "gardens" or take over bodies. Some special monsters could conceivably also utilize them as appendages. The recent "Terrortoma" resulted from these but I still keep turning over more creatures along the same lines. It's hard to settle on them and avoid too much overlap.

For a while I had this idea of a series of monsters that were mindless, non-living polyps, they just grew and reacted to your will, and you could grow them on another monster that was just an expanding biofilm. Maybe I'll still do it someday
2014-11-10 05:51:04 +0000 UTCYes! "Garden" or carpet-like or lawn-like organisms are one of my favorite monster types; strange jungles of organs and polyps, kind of like the Dogscape or Mortasheen's own Fleshforest, but on a much smaller scale.
