Mel is a very interesting character because they genuinely care but always seem to automatically assume that all the humans that ever attack or hurt Talita can be reasoned with, and the implicit bias that because she is inhuman and physically stronger that the damage is comparatively smaller. I also feel for Talita because it must always be really humiliating to basically tattle on your coworkers to your (former) legal guardian, who treats harassment like it's something that can always be talked out. It's giving paternalism >_>

2025-09-18 23:24:37 +0000 UTCI feel like Talita didn't even get the chance to properly explain everything that was going on. That single "iS tHaT iT" instantly forces Talita to go on the defensive. Mel doesn't even seem to care for any details- I can see why she doesn't tell them anything.
