I really love the last panel, that combination of the softer, lower-opacity brushstrokes and thicker lines on Talita in the foreground to create depth is just *chef's kiss*

I love the framing of Gillie here as she herself is an example of a human person who physically despite being human grew up and lived in the same exact system which failed to accommodate her being a deaf, off-model, trans catgirl. Her experience while not a severe as Talitas is still one that is shared between them that both can relate to.
Talita having all her life having to endure living in an environment physically not made for despite identifying as a human woman feels as if she is not worthy enough to learn human sign language as her physiology is not as compatible, she feels embarrassed for even attempting as she fears being seen as less than genuine despite being completely valid, because for all of her life she felt like she was just pretending to be human despite growing up with humans and identifies as a woman. What she doesnt know is that human sign language is very flexible that the gesture to learn it is greatly appreciated and not seen as insulting despite being suited to human physiology.
