2024-12-14 14:00:23 +0000 UTCbeen thinking about talita and this page a lot today…i think it’s interesting that whenever the question of whether or not she wants to be human comes up (like that one character AMA a while ago) talita never gives a straight answer. and maybe it’s because she’s ashamed and embarrassed to admit the answer is “yes”, but personally i get the feeing it’s because it’s not that easy of an answer. i’m sure a part of her wishes she could be human, but even if she were magically able to have a human body, it wouldn’t immediately solve every self image issue she has and i think she knows that. and i think she also, on some level, realizes that she shouldn’t /have/ to change her body just to fit an arbitrary standard imposed on her by a species that isn’t her own and a society that doesn’t understand her - that she should be allowed to be who and what she is without constantly apologizing or modifying herself for it. anyway the trans allegory is strong in this one i love her so bad
