I ended up going down a rabbit hole trying to figure out what the remodeling process I needed would look like, then realized it would probably be a full demolition and reconstruction, but then I wondered if because of the setting, they'd be a lot more precious about conserving materials and do something closer to a deconstruction of the building, and if that's the case, maybe the underlying structure of the building is more modular to allow easier repurposing, and well. I've attempted to draw that, but I'm still not entirely confident with it. Life goes on.
Oh and the background panel has ten million billion junk squiggles. Have fun looking for Easter eggs.
