2024-07-19 09:43:39 +0000 UTCA couple hundred years ago in Tiiliitian culture, headgear on duns taller than a sunshade was considered crossdressing, and brights would often wear hats exaggerating their crest. Then hats took off as a Bold Androgynous Youth Fashion in duns, which became normalized over time. Now most hats are actually considered a dun fashion, where modern brights are generally expected to go bare-headed so their whole crest can be seen. A blue and/or yellow hat would still be crossdressing though. Tiiliitians are very specific about color acceptability in clothing
