WIP: Updated Avian Species Reference
Added 2022-06-28 17:28:52 +0000 UTCThe old ref for avians (from 2014! jesus christ) is now extremely outdated, and I wanted better reference images for the website page on avian biology, so I'm cranking these out in between working on book pages. Eventually I'd like to do updated refs for all the aliens. The original centaur post is also now super inaccurate, now that I've drawn Talita a bajillion more times and settled on a less buglike centaur aesthetic...

Question! is the entire genus to which the sapient avians belong sapient, or does it have any non-sapient members?

2022-06-28 19:09:02 +0000 UTCYes! Here they are! They’ve always been great, but something about these refinements really make the different species feel settled and real. I think it’s the musculature? Especially with the duns. The pygmies have a distinct “pygmy” build, the divers have a more distinctly sleek otter-ish look, everything just seems that extra bit dialed-in. It’s so cool to get to see the process like this.
