Much to my own surprise, I have not only grown enough patience to finally build myself a website, but I'm learning the HTML and CSS to make it all from scratch. It has been this month's compulsive creative project and it's far from complete, but I figured I ought to share it with you folks. I'll post about it on social media when it's less ramshackle.
I'm reaching a point with it where the site layout is decent and now I have to do the part I've been dreading more than the coding: typing out up-to-date information for all of the worldbuilding cruft on my tumblr blog. I have to say, I do prefer blog-format worldbuilding because I can just throw text and images out into the void with no obligation that they remain up-to-date with an evolving canon. But on the other hand, having a reference material that isn't tumblr's broken tag search system, is nice....
Edit: Oh also! One of the many perks of having a personal website. Buttons!
