I was wondering, are ferrets and avians like centaurs or like humans in regard to air and food tube arrangements? As in, do they have to worry about choking? Or is that something that never even occurs to them?

2021-07-24 19:35:12 +0000 UTCTonally centaurs sound sort of high-register and buzzy, like a kazoo or a rhinoceros. They're generally the best of any of the aliens at speaking human languages. Talita's first language is Jovian English and her voice is very similar to a cis human woman with that accent, but she still definitely doesn't sound like a human.

Also, what did the bug ferrets sound like when speaking earlier outside of the nasal consonant issue? Iirc you've talked about how avians sound on the blog, but I can't remember if you have about centaurs/bug ferrets (unless there was something about centaurs sounding nasal?)
