I've Been Reincarnated As A Summoned Beast: Chapter 3

Zero

I’m not quite sure if I should feel excited or not about having my first kiss in this life or the last as a fox. At the very least, the girl is a knockout beauty who is now tied to me forever. Instinctively I knew I had to exchange fluids with her to complete the soul bond of my seventh tail. She’s now in the land of no return in our relationship.

There was no chance she would back out on me anyway, now that I’m her summoned beast. I just really wanted to do it and see what her tolerance level was. She seems to be taking it in stride, as she hasn’t stopped me from repeatedly licking her lips for the last thirty seconds. Is she actually enjoying this or just stunned at my actions?

I know from this past month that she would never allow a guy to do something like this to her. But I’m now in a different category than any other person related to her. We're now lifelong companions, and I’m thinking my soul bond I just triggered is going to make it even longer than that. The future is looking bright.

“Ok, ok, Zero, please stop!” Euphemia pleaded while she put her hand in front of her mouth, blocking me. While it’s disappointing, it can’t be helped.

'I just have one favor to ask.'

I said as I looked up at her with puppy dog eyes once again.

She sighed, “What’s that?”

'I absolutely refuse to go into the subspace carrier that beast masters use. I will never allow it, or I will cause major issues. As long as you never force me into that, I will try my best to listen to your words.'

Everything I said was within reason or taken with a grain of salt because I don’t expect anyone to command me for any reason. I turned myself into an apex predator in that beast world, and I will never allow someone to rule over me again. Euphemia is a different story because of the way I feel towards her. I would allow her to get away with it to a certain extent. But I have my limits.

My mind and nature have now turned away from being human into more of a primitive mindset. I wish to be the dominant one in any relationship. Never allowing anyone to look down on me or anyone I care about. If they do cross that line, there will be blood!

“Well, since you’re so small, that won’t be much of an issue. It’s more for traveling purposes with much bigger beasts so they can move around more comfortably.” Euphemia said with a reassuring smile as she caressed my head, moving along my ears.

'That’s good to know.'

I remembered multiple cases while looking in on Euphy where even smaller beasts would be placed in there. So, I’m still a bit worried about her words. On the other hand, I doubt something like that could even hold my full power. Breaking out of something like that with my full seven-tails worth of strength would probably kill everyone in a certain radius around me.

Time will tell if she forces me to take that type of action, but I’m at least optimistic. Beasts and their summoners need a certain amount of respect for this type of relationship to work.

'Euphy, can I ask you to act sad about your summoned little fox?'

I said with a slight grin that probably looked terrifying to everyone else.

“Why are you calling me Euphy all of a sudden?” That was an intimate way her parents called her while I was watching, so I decided I would also call her that.

'I saw your most important people calling you that, so I thought I would also use the same name. We’re important to each other now, right?'

“It’s not that I really mind; I was just not expecting it. I haven’t even told you my name, but I guess that would make sense with how I learned of your name. But what do you mean by seeing it?” Euphy asked quizzically.

'I’m sure you felt it from about a month ago; that’s when I achieved my seventh tail and gained a new ability called soul link. From that moment on I was able to view your life in a first-person view. That’s how I learned a lot about you and your current life. That’s also why I’m hiding a great portion of my power right now. I thought it would be fun to fake weakness and destroy everyone at this graduation tournament in three months.'

“So you’re hiding what you can do from everyone?” She looked down at me in her arms with wide eyes. “You know, you seem more like a human than a beast.” Euphy commented.

'You’re more right than you even know, but I will explain that later. You know everyone’s just staring at us conversing. But to them it just looks like you’re talking to your beast.'

I gave a little snort of amusement.

I watched on as Euphy looked around the arena in embarrassment as all eyes were on her. It’s not that weird for someone to be talking with her pet, but it’s the time and place. Not to mention more than half of the audience had cases of near frostbite. Humans are so weak; I didn’t even use one-tenth of my power.

They're truly at the mercy of the beasts they summon to keep them safe; I wonder what types I will have to fight in the future. I’m looking forward to it!

“You’re right; let’s get out of here!” We started towards the entrance to the summoning circle, where I saw a male and female waiting for Euphy. I recognized them to be her mother and father. Both of them had worried faces; I wondered why.

She definitely had her mother’s looks, as she could be considered an elder sister with how beautiful and young she still looked. The father was a rugged-looking man with a take-no-bullshit, solemn scowl on his face. Considering he’s the owner of the number one beast master guild in the world, I assume he would have an authoritarian attitude.

As we approached the pair, her mother ran up first, giving her daughter a big hug while I was still being cradled in her arms. I was now being squished by four mounds of flesh, and I have to say it felt amazing. With a quick action taken from her mother, she took me from Euphy’s arms into her own, putting her cheeks against my fur.

“He’s so incredibly soft.” She mumbled as she was indulging herself with my body. Of course I didn’t pull away because she was one of those exceptions whom I would allow to use me in this way. She was just a slightly older-looking version of Euphy, so I didn't care.

I watched on as Euphy approached her father, who had an annoyed face with his nonaction towards his daughter's summoning. He took a closer look at me before looking back.

“Your fox looks weak. Are you still sure you made the right decision? There is a chance you just ruined your life being stubborn and taking such a risk to summon a great beast.” The father gave off an unimpressed look as he gazed down at his daughter.

“I have no regrets, Father. We still don’t know what Zero can truly do, and you felt that oppressive cold that came out during his summoning.” I felt pride watching Euphy defend me.

“Hmm… that could have been the world he was summoned out of, but it is also interesting.” He took a gaze my way as I stared him down.

Her father made his way over to me. I was still being held by the mother; he moved one of his arms towards me. With a pretty quick action from a human, I was snatched away and held up in the air by the skin of my neck. He put me right in front of his face with an obviously scrutinizing gaze at my appearance.

I absolutely wouldn’t allow this type of treatment to take place as my skin started to become ice cold to the touch. But as I expected, his obvious, stubborn nature didn’t allow him to drop me for a good while. My absolute zero kept dropping lower as I watched this man try to fight the urge to drop me.

“Father, Zero, please stop!” Looking over at the distressed Euphy, I couldn’t help but stop my actions, unwilling to see her in that state any longer, as her father also decided to drop me to the ground.

'Euphy, tell your father to call upon his strongest beast and set up an arena that can take a lot of damage. I challenge this fool of a man to a duel. I refuse to accept someone looking down on me. In the world you just summoned me from, I stood at the very top, and I can't accept being looked down upon by this man.'

While I was allowing those other people in the stands to look down on me according to the plan, her father was unacceptable. I have to show this man how lacking he is with his ability to read beasts levels.

As I stare at Euphy’s panicked face at my declaration, I can’t help but smirk and turn to look at her father.

“Father, Zero wishes to fight your strongest to show you what he’s capable of and prove you wrong in your assessment of him.” She said in a defeated tone.

“Very well, let’s go.” He said it resolutely, turning around and walking out of the arena.

Before anyone else could approach, our group of four exited the venue and left in the direction of the guild. I sat on Euphy’s lap as we went through the futuristic city. Many high buildings with holographic images of many types of beasts were appearing across multiple storefronts.

There were also all types of fantastical-looking, technologically advanced items used for beast taming or just daily life in general. The phones were holographic watches on one's arm; I can only assume they also have chips for their heads as well.

“Are you sure about this, Zero?” Euphy asked me in a low voice.

'You don’t trust me?'

“Of course I do, but my father’s beasts are very powerful. Some of the strongest in the whole city, and I’m just worried something could happen.”

You could tell him to send all three to me, and the outcome would be the same. I’ve got many useful abilities that make it very hard to hit me. Even if I’m overpowered, it will be no problem.

“Euphy, are you talking to your fox right now?” A curious voice came from the side.

“Yes, Mom… He actually talks quite a lot.” Euphy said with a chuckle as she looked down and rubbed the top of my head, caressing my ears.

“That’s a really rare aspect of a beast to actually communicate with their summoner. Most of the time a beast can only understand commands but not actually converse back. You might have hit the jackpot with your summons, dear daughter.” She said with a smile.

I watched on as the daughter and mother conversed with each other as they giggled. They must have a great bond. On the other hand, I wonder how her mother got with that man. It’s the old story of opposites attract, but I never understood that concept. You have to be able to meet on common ground for a relationship to work, and when you can’t find that, it’s bound to fail.

Looking out at the huge building we’re currently approaching in our hover car, I was awed at an even more impressive building than the school's respectable arena. I would compare it to the look and size of the Avengers HQ in The Age of Ultron.

We stopped in front of a room that said training with the name Oversight across the top of the building. I assume that must be the name of the guild. Are they trying to say they overlook the whole world or something?
