Haru

After my shirt was ripped off, Akari kissed me deeply. I opened up my mouth and let her do as she wished. The elation I felt was even higher than the first time I kissed Akari. “I’m sorry to say, Haru, but for our first time we will need to get it done quickly. I’m already struggling a great deal just standing here right now.” She said with a sigh.

“It’s alright, Akari; we have our whole lives together ahead of us.” I gave a reassuring smile. “You look so amazing, and I hope this won’t be the last time seeing you with nine tails."

“Of course not; this form will be a lot easier to control after we imprint.” She put her porcelain-like body over me and leaned down to pull off my pants. All of a sudden, Akari lifted her hand up and released a huge fireball that launched into the distance. There was a massive mushroom cloud off in the distance, and I felt a shock from the impact.

Realizing we need to get the show on the road as Akari starts to struggle to control her mana. I pulled down my pants and boxers in a hurry, “Let’s do this, Akari!” I gestured to her with my arms.

We have an unbreakable bond with our loved one and will do anything to protect them."

I understand those words more than ever now. Looking down, I gently run my fingers through Haru's platinum blonde hair as I remember more of my mother's wisdom.

"All the other races will lie, cheat, and steal to get what they want. They even do that to their own families. Having someone to protect makes you a lot stronger than someone who only fights for themselves. It’s also true your partner can become a weakness. That’s why we must always strive to become stronger to protect what we hold dear. I wish you the best of luck on your journey to the other world, Akari. Hopefully, you will find your mate and make a connection.”

Haru was someone extremely easy to fall for. While he does lack confidence and was a complete outsider to his own race. That in the end was for the best because no one could take what was mine. From the beginning of our first meeting, I couldn’t help but want to rub my scent all over him. I saw the strange looks he was giving my actions, but I didn't care. Having some weird girl come out of nowhere and start acting the way I did would startle anyone. But he never once tried to push me away and just gave in to all my impulses.

Haru’s body starts to glow with a red tint as it gradually gets brighter. After about a minute of a bright light that forced me to turn away. I looked back at Haru and saw his completed transformation. He kept his short platinum blonde hair, but now he has two ears sticking out of his head. There was also a soft sensation rubbing against my legs. When I looked down, I saw that Haru’s tail was rubbing against me. I’m glad I have the perfect set of clothes for the both of us that my mother had told me to pack just in case. His human ones will have an issue with no room for a tail.

He should be waking up real soon. Then, we can get dressed quickly and get out of here. I look at Haru’s eyes that are starting to twitch. Since he’s about to wake up, I should power back down to my normal state. After going back to one tail, I cuddled up against Haru to be the first thing he sees when he opens his eyes.

My eyes suddenly opened as I looked around; I was stunned to see the most beautiful creature in the world lying next to me without a care. “Waking up to a naked fox girl, what else could I ask for?” I said with a chuckle.

I saw Akari snap her head up. “How do you feel, Haru?”

“My senses have heightened by a great degree.” I said as I looked at my surroundings, “I also feel powerful.” The strength I was currently feeling gave me the impression that I could knock a person's head off with one punch.

“Don’t try to use any of that power yet; we will start your training tomorrow.” Akari said with a smile, “Learning how to control your mana will be dangerous at first, so we need to do it in a controlled environment.”

“That’s true; trying to learn anything right now would probably only be interrupted. You sure did a number on our surroundings.” I said with a laugh, looking at the complete destruction all around us. Most of the forest that directly surrounded us was gone and half of it within my sight was on fire.

“This was me holding back.” She said without worry, leaning into my face, and placed a kiss on my lips, “I love you, Haru.”

What a rollercoaster ride today has been, going from the lowest low of this morning. Realizing I had to go to school and probably gets terrorized by those idiots. Hating the world and being very close to not even wanting to live in it. Then the brightest light I could have ever hoped for popped into my life out of nowhere. She came at me like a hurricane, and I felt pretty good about that. It was weird at first because I just couldn’t understand her intentions and was afraid of her betraying me. But now I understand all those actions she did this whole day were out of affection for me.

To think my mate would be from another world, that’s something I would have never expected. After the experience I just went through and having the imprinting completed. I can one hundred percent say without any doubt, I love her. She is literally my dream girl, but some part of me still feels Akari is way too good for me. At the same time, I have this overwhelming drive in wanting to make her mine. It must be from our connection. For the first time in my life, I look forward to the future and what we will become.

“I love you too, Akari.” I said as I kissed her back, causing the intensity to increase even more.
