Yup! And it gets more complicated the more I dig. The bigger platform issue is that the iPhone 12 records in Dolby Vision, but Youtube supports HDR10 - basically a different tech brand. So it's a little more complicated than just codec support. For Malin, it's a decision to turn off HDR or stop uploading raw iPhone video and start using a video editor like iMovie. I was watching a YouTube clip done in Dolby Vision and converted to HDR10 for YouTube - it was F'ing phenomenal - the downside is that it took the creator about 9 hours to upload a 5-minute video.

I find that if I link to the Patreon video via the link provided in my email notice, I get the washed out video on my home computer. If I go to the same video through the link in one of her YouTube videos, no problem, beautiful video.
