February Projects, Goals, and WIP Updates
Added 2021-02-06 19:31:15 +0000 UTCBefore I go over all the projects I wanted to let you all know I'll be catching up on posts today, so those WIP Access downloads will finally get a download page :) I'll also be releasing posts for Pre-Release so keep an eye out for those later today.
I'll have a little less time because it's a shorter month so I've tried to plan accordingly. Everything is listed by priority, if I start running out of time those things at the end of the list will get moved to next month.
Cowplant Farming
- Add a feed meat interaction with the option to feed the cowplant steak (that costs simoleons), fish, or faux meat if you have it in your inventory
- Feeding fish or steak will give you 2 and 3 times more milk; feeding steak will also give you a small chance to get a cowplant berry
- Since faux meat is a little suspect, I decided to make it so the cowplant will become ill if it eats it since it's 'genetically similar' lol. Anyway, milking it will give you sour milk and a random alien seed. I figure feeding an alien carnivorous plant some lab grown alien plant meat would give some interesting results. And it's also another way to get some of those alien plant seeds without having to leave the garden!
- I'll be adding a new object, basically cowplant parts 🤢, that your sim has a chance to get after being swallowed by a cowplant. Those will be an ingredient required for a certain recipe....
- Add new cowplant types by splicing them onto other garden plants: Strawberry and Chocolate will be this month I'll add more next month :D
- I'm going to work on making sims who are scared run away if they get close to the cowplants but it's lowest on the priority list since the scared emotion works and I'd rather spend the time adding new options
- I probably won't have time, but the last option I wanted to add to cowplants is to get a carton of Ice Cream instead of milk if it's freezing outside. I'll probably release a discussion/poll to decide exactly how to implement this.
Electric Mill
After some testing this week I was finally able to make pulling a multi-recipe from the mill work! This means I can make the ingredients like I wanted to - similar to the cowplant milk - you'll get a bag or container with multiple servings that you can measure cups from for recipes. Things like bags can have a half-empty state so you can see when it's almost time to make more. I haven't decided yet if I should put a spoil timer on flours and stuff, let me know what you guys think.
Mill Recipes:
- Wheat Flour
- Cowplant Flour (cowplant parts)
- Sugar
- Cocoa Powder
The only other thing I need to work out is how to determine the quality of the product. I'm thinking about maybe making it dependent on the sim's mood but I'm open to ideas if you have them!
New Harvestable:
- Sugar Cane - harvest Year Round - will get an extra crop during heat waves but will be damaged by freeze
New Recipe:
- Homestyle - Revenge Cake - will require cowplant flour, sour milk, and cowplant berries and will give a long lasting happy buff called 'Sweet Revenge' lol. I think I'll make it look like a cow on the outside with some cowplant leaves as frosting decorations, and a green cake with spots inside
This will be the only cooking recipe this month because I'll be creating recipes for flours and stuff for the electric mill. Once I wrap up the mill and cowplant farming mods I'll be going back to the regular schedule of creating several cooking recipes and crafting recipes like fizzy drinks each month. Having the ability to craft milks and flours/powders/spices is really going to help with recipe ingredients.
Separated Objects:
From Paranormal Pack:
- Pillows & Blankets (if I can get the blankets to work)
- Cowplant in a pot
- Wall Art
- Ceiling light and Hanging plants in different heights - I was going to do these but I just saw Peacemaker did them already. I will usually just make them myself anyway, but since he uses the same technique as me I won't be making them. You can find them HERE.
And I'm going to try to get the Eco Beds separated once all that is done.
Quarterly Lot:
I'm going to focus on finishing the build and decorating it this month and move any object creation to the beginning of next month. The goal will be to have it done by mid-late March.
Projects for March:
I think next month's theme is going to be a tea garden theme :) It will be a nice way to wrap up the quarterly lot and finally get that teapot finished!
- Pots & Plants set
- Outdoor Tap, Well, Water Collectors
- Teapot
As always, if you have any feedback, suggestions, or ideas feel free to leave them in the comments below!

I love your ambition! I've literally never managed to get to cowplant stage of gardening, but I'm excited (and a little anxious lol) to see how it all works out!
