God, this piece took so long. There's this progression of working on a drawing where I'll be about 75% done with everything, where mostly everything is colored, and then I'll start adding more and more things. There are diminishing returns per unit of time that I spend on it, but damn, I love the end result. I can only wonder if people subconsciously notice these little adjustments and tweaks; spending extra time to ensure the body, head, feet, and shorts are all in separate layer groups so they can be disabled and adjusted individually. Duplicating a layer group twice, flattening them, blurring the top one, then lowering the opacity to make everything buttery smooth. Going close up with a black round brush and outlining various shadows that were rendered to make the dimensionality pop. Downloading and viewing 3d models of the character to get the most accurate drawing...

All of this stuff could easily be hand-waved away and ignored, but it really makes things so much better. c:

I could have spent even more time on this, as I kept coming up with things in my head to add, such as dialogue, different facial expressions, or feet, but I had to stop myself somewhere. XD
