Project Goals

Hey all!

In-between releasing the last few content posts I've been continuing to work on projects. I like to hop between projects because I've learned I actually get more done that way. When I get stuck on one I can usually figure it out if I take a break from it and work on another instead. So I'm not sure which one will be done first but here are some details on where I'm at with each:

Cowplant Farming Mod:

• You can have relationships with them
• After you feed a cowplant you will be able to milk them
• You are able to feed them more often, and if they are starving it takes longer for them to die
• Some actions are based on how high your relationship is with them (petting, milking, etc)
• Different interactions with the cowplant will increase/decrease relationship with them (playing with, splicing)
• You will be able to splice part of the cowplant onto another plant to get a new cowplant and a new type of milk
• Milking them will give you a jar of milk with 8 glasses (servings) of milk
• Milk quality will be based off your sim's relationship with the cowplant
• You can still get eaten and die, but I'm working on making it so that you only die if you had a bad relationship with the cowplant
• I'm looking at adding a 'measure cup' option to the milk jar for use with recipes
• Sims who are best friend level with the cowplant will have the option to 'Over-feed' the cowplant and will get a bottle of cream in addition to a bottle of milk when they milk them, but this will have a small negative effect on their relationship with them

NOTE: This is a big project that will be released in chunks for testing and feedback. It may take several releases for it to be ready for Pre-Release level.

Grinder Appliance

• Grind harvestables to get flours, spices, etc
• First few recipes I've decided on: wheat flour, rice flour, cocoa powder, matcha powder

NOTE: I am still looking into adding a dehydrating component to go with this but after playing around with some things it looks like it's going to require a lot more work so I'm going to release this using fresh ingredients until I can find a more efficient way to do this.

Insect Farm Overhaul:

• New meshes to make the insect products look like small sacks instead of seed packs
• Made it so that you can sell these at retail or on retail tables
• Made a woodworking version of the farm
• Adding new 'live insect' ingredients and overwrite for the 'compost' pile to be able to use as an ingredient (will be adding these to foraging mod soon)

Teapot Group Appliance:

I started playing around with the tunings for this but it's still in it's earliest stages. I was able to get it to not trigger any LE's but it doesn't function how I want it to just yet lol. 

Outdoor Tap:

I'm playing around with making an outdoor tap that you can wash your hands in when your sim gets dirty out in the garden. I'm also looking at adding more water collection objects like a well and some other functionality like getting water to water plants and some self-watering stuff for gardens. This will probably be something I will flesh out more next month and I'll be able to get a better timeline on this project then.

Objects: 

I started separating the beds from the tiny living pack and I'll get the eco living ones after that. I also saw a lot of clutter I'd like to separate from the new paranormal stuff pack.

Right now the plain cowplant is actually most fleshed out so if I can work out those last couple of things that will likely be the next thing released. There shouldn't be any major updates needed with the new stuff pack. More updates/pics coming this weekend :D
