WIP's & November Project Goals

Patch Next Week:

Just an FYI to start - there is going to be what's likely to be a very big update that will break A LOT of things so please keep that in mind. Content releases may be delayed depending on how many of my mods break but I'm really organized and ready for it so so I'm hoping updates will go pretty smoothly. 

Project Goals: 

Besides all that, the poll has ended and it looks like I'll be making some Japanese themed recipes this month! I also want to use the hotpot as a base to make a functioning tea kettle for your sim family to sit at the kotatsu and drink tea around. 

Because it seemed like the opportune time I decided to start building some of the dehydrating/preserving crafting objects. Some of the recipes I want to make really need specific ingredients like rice flour, dried tea leaves, and red bean paste. I was working on the tuning for them all week because I wanted to be fairly confident that it could actually be done before I posted my goals for the month and I'm pretty sure I got it worked out. 

If I'm not able to complete the preserving/dehydrating objects this month I'll need to add the ingredients to the recipes later. You can see a sneak peak of my electric mill in the video above, I even made a custom sound effect to go with it! And I don't want to jinx it but the main tuning is almost done, I just have to find a way for sims to grab the right serving size from it :D

Recipes: 

• Gourmet Recipe - Butaman - Japanese Pork Steamed Bun: this will use rice or wheat flour and will have a special recipe step that uses a bamboo steamer in a wok on the stove :)
• Baking Recipe - Mochi - Japanese Sweets: this will use rice flour and bean paste, will have a kneading recipe step then be baked in the oven
• Homestyle Recipe - Tonkatsu - Fried Pork Cutlet & Cabbage: just some chopping and meat frying in a pan recipe steps
• Electric Japanese Tea Kettle:  White, Matcha, Green, Oolong, Black, & Pu'er Tea recipes in new, japanese style teacups (If I can't get all these done this month I'll strive to get at least 3 done - again this depends on how updating goes)
• ALSO if it's not too time consuming I'd like to re-make the Gyoza recipe we already have in-game to have recipe steps using the bamboo steamer as well

Harvestables:

• Camellia Tea Plant - to make tea with; can use fresh leaves or dry them for other types of teas - may create different types of tea plants depending on how the dehydrating object turns out
• Adzuki Bean Plant - similar to green beans
• Rice Plant - as ingredient and to make rice flour
• Wheat Plant - to make wheat flour for my baking recipes while I'm at it! 

Preserving/Dehydrating Objects:

• Drying rack of some sort - I'm still working on this deciding what the best way to do this would be but it will likely be an object you can put your harvestable into then come back to get a dried version of your harvestable
• Electric Mill - this will require power but will grind down harvestables to make flours, teas, and spices; it will just be the basic animation you see above then the sim will grab the finished product

I'll be working on cowplant milk next month because I'm sure that a lot of the tuning for it will need to be updated since they're overhauling parts of the relationships with the next pack. I'm kind of excited about it though because it will be cool if I can add sentiments to the cowplant/sim relationships.
