Sooooooo, the monthly lot and market objects may come a little later than anticipated but I have a REALLY good reason.
After I finished updating the Foraging Mod yesterday I went back to wrapping up the market objects for this month. I started separating the tank from the aquarium to use as a display for the fish market and then I thought - how cool would it be to have this tank display that people could auto buy fish from like a retail fridge and the produce stands?
So I spent yesterday afternoon trying to combine the tuning for the retail display and the aquarium but I just couldn't get the fish animations to work properly. I found that I could add some fish animations in a different way but they would have been the small version of the fish animation that's used for the fishbowl and it wouldn't have looked right. Not to mention that doing it that way would produce the same animation each time and I wanted it to have the same variety in fish animations like the aquarium has.
Then this morning I had an epiphany! What if I make it modular and make the retail fridge part and the aquarium part overlap so you can have the benefit of both?
Holy cow I just finished putting it together and it works and looks SO good!!! Then I was like - this really needs some deco inside but I need different options so I made a third decorative piece that goes inside the tank as well.
There's an order you have to follow to set this up, I think it's a small price to pay considering how cool these look and work. The deco sits in a slot on the lid/sand aquarium part, then the aquarium part sits in a slot on the glass container retail fridge part, which will sit into any medium slot on any surface (with MOO enabled).
You can drag and drop fish on the lid for them to show up as an animation inside the tank, and anything you drag and drop on the glass container will be stored for customers to purchase from.
I'm really excited about this but like I said it's going to put this month's lot and the market object posts out a few days - worst case scenario until the weekend. I still need to wrap up a couple of objects and then I need to make a few alterations to the retail tuning and test it out a little before I releasing anything.
I know I can go off on a tangent sometimes but I really think this is a game changer for retail. Thank you all for your patience and I can't wait to get this to you guys to play with!!!
