Hey all, sorry it's been a while since I had an update I've just been busy irl trying to keep keep up with everything - as I'm sure a lot of you are doing right now. I hope you are all staying safe and healthy!
I've finally caught up on the major updates. I just realized today that the fishing cooler needs an update and a new download link so I'll be working on that simultaneously with the market objects I talked about releasing. I ended up having to re-mesh the barrel displays to work properly with my retail tunings, you can see an example of the ice version above. The ice ended up looking SUPER real, I love it! I also made some recolors of all the wood displays to match the farmers market set.
I made some mods that that allow you to store edible fish in a retail fridge so that you can store them in the barrel display. I figured while I was at it I'd mod the herbs and spinach to go in the retail fridges as well. I'm also playing around with the idea of changing the footprint of the fish so they sit closer together and look better when you stock the display.
I was also playing around with making a small set of recipes for the upcoming holiday. I realize I needed to figure out how to make the textures of the food to match EA's in a more efficient way so I found a new script for Gimp and found some neat filters that I think I can can get pretty consistent results with. You can see some textures I edited in the pic of the placemats above. The food set I'm looking at making is centered around bunnies and carrots, I may post some inspiration pics once I've decided how I want to put everything together.
I know I have other projects (like adding more plants to the foraging mod and wrapping up the Candle Crafting mod) that I need to get back to but want to get this stuff to you first. Doing it this way will make sure you all have something to play with this month in case it takes longer than I anticipate to finish those projects :)
I'll be adding some Pre-Releases soon too so keep an eye out for those.
Lastly, for lot owners - I've added a couple of quick screenshots of this months lot above. I need to finish wrapping up the objects and mods for this month before I can flesh out the rest of it. I was going to do a two story originally but I decided to go with a few individual one-story buildings instead. I thought this felt more like what I've seen in pictures and it gave me the opportunity to make an open fish market. The other buildings are a small grocer and an artists shack. I should have this uploaded for Lot-Owners by this coming weekend.
