Discussion - Foraging
Added 2019-09-10 15:13:24 +0000 UTCThe 'Foraging' interaction was part of the chicken egg harvestable but I want to make it it's own mod. I'm looking to add some other objects to what you can find when you forage, what would you like to see?
I want to stay away from stuff that doesn't make too much sense like apples or fish, definitely potatoes and the new harvestables from the magic expansion.
In a previous discussion where I mentioned this, we talked about being able to forage for wood and make it a required ingredient on the woodworking table. Are you all still interested in this? I could make it so you get smaller pieces from shrubs and large pieces from trees.
Let me know what you think in the comments below!

I can absolutely look into doing that and I think it would be a great idea!

2019-09-11 18:30:54 +0000 UTCherbs are very easily forageable! especially onions/spring onions. Also I secons Sara's recommendations of berries and mushrooms, maybe with an option of sometimes getting the poisionous ones from outdoor retreat if you have that ep? Also I hate having to go to granite falls for bugs, so maybe you can find bugs when foraging?

It really would add an extra sense of realism and would make certain challenges way more fun!! My ideas for added items your Sims could forage would be berries ( of any kind ), mushrooms and nuts. Maybe you could even add a couple new recipes that Sims could make from what they forage, like 'trail mix' and 'breakfast bars' = ( could use together with honey from the bee hives from seasons ) or something like that.
