WIP's Update

I have a bunch of slot overrides, separated rugs, and an edit to the Kava Bowl coming for Early Access either tonight or tomorrow. Once I've done that I'm going to release more stuff for Pre-Release. I meant to do this the other day but completely ran out of time.

So the clothesline - I was originally going to completely change the animation for it because I was having issues with it - you can see what it's supposed to look like in the image above but here's what happens during the animation:

But I really want to figure out how to get it to work properly because it totally breaks the immersion without that animation. If you all have any ideas let me know, I also posted for help at S4S forums.

I made the base code for the Chicken Egg harvestable, now I just need to get the mesh together. I think I'm going to pull the wreath mesh from laundry day to use as the foundation for the egg nest.

Next stuff to separate is beds.

I need to change the produce displays - it's giving a recurring LE when you stock the items for sale. I'm going to have to make 2 versions - one where sims can buy from and one that you can set the items on it for sale. I'm pretty sure I can still make it work as a container too so you can still store stuff in them and stock it.

The only other mod I need to fix at this point is the Inventory Not Shared mod. I don't know enough about scripting to be able to fix it and scumbumbo has been MIA for a couple of months so I think I'm just going to revert back to using  an override file. Hey, it was worth a shot, right?

This weekend I'm going to whip out the ole Candle Crafting mod.  I've done a little bit of studying and picking apart the Off-the-Grid code and the candles are going to be easy to convert to OTG but other things like recipes are really complicated. There are multiple things you have to change for each recipe several levels deep. As far as the candle recipes I'm going to take a look at it, but because I made my own recipe props I think it's going to be as simple as changing out a couple of lines of code. Fingers crossed!

I've also looked into making some solar panels and a compost pile. The compost pile seems pretty easy, it'll function just like a trash can except when it gets full it'll start composting and after a certain amount of time you can harvest high quality fertilizer from it for your plants. I'm also going to see if I can get it to change texture as it composts - like going from a pile of garbage to a pile of dirt.

The solar panels would be a little more complicated because I'd like to setup a whole system revolving around storing and using energy. I thought about making it so that you can use certain items as long as you have a solar panel on lot, but you'd never run out of power or have a bill. I may just opt out and create the latter so you can have something to use for now, I have a feeling EA may decide to make one in the future and I don't want to waste too much time on something they're likely going to do anyway.

My schedule is still a little wonky but I've found more time to create this week than the last. My goal is to get the egg harvestable and one separated bed set done this weekend as well as get the props and recipes for the candles worked out. If I get all that done I want to find the base object for the compost pile and get that setup so I can work on that next week. The clothesline is done except for the animation so once I get that figured out I'll wrap that up and get it uploaded.

The Beebox is actually what inspired the whole thing :) You'll need honeycomb, which you'll get from harvesting honey, in order to make the wax needed for the candles.

Hi, not sure what you have planned for the candle making (or how difficult it would be) but wax from the bees to make crafting cheaper would be a super cool feature/option.

YAAAS, that's a great idea! I had planned on making a new one but I couldn't decide on what kind of container to use. The sulani vase would be a great base!

BrazenLotus

would you consider making a more sulani-appropriate washtub? Maybe with some of the ceramic textures from the vases?

Wow, you have a big plate! Much appreciated 😍
